Bay B Kane - Jungle Love (2011)

Label: Junglist Manifesto (JMLP02)
Genre: drum n bass, jungle influenced, doesn't sound like 2011
Released: 21 June 2011
Origin: London, east end

Bitrate: mp3 CBR 320 kbps

Well here is a sweet dnb release that passed me by last year. I didn't even think there were this good stuff being made in the 2010s, but Bay B Kane's LP Jungle Love brings some unforgettable tunes and 1996 vibes. This, together with his Brick Jungle LP also released in 2011(which i have not been able to get hold of, send me a message if you know more please!) marks his return from a 13 year hiatus and they certainly do it in big style. Definitely check this out if you are into dnb/jungle!

Current 93 - An Introduction to Suffering (1999)

Label: Durtro
Genre: Apocalyptic Neo-Folk
Released: 1999
Website: http://brainwashed.com/c93/

Current 93 is a British experimental folk band consisting of  David Tibet and a gang of contributors, most notably Steven Stapleton (Nurse with Wound) and Michael Cashmore. This album is a compilation, with the songs being somewhat different out-takes of old songs from previous albums.
I would the describe the music on this bad boy as a folky acoustic spoken-word poetry enhanced feel with an  apocalyptic vibe, and lyrics taken from the spiritual world. It is a great album for those who want to get into Current 93, but also for all those who appreciates something new.
Here is a "new", beautiful, magical piece of art.

Swedish rock band Kent released their tenth album yesterday, and it features a different direction than their past two albums, returning to the lesser use of electronics. This style change brought with it some dumb chart-poppy choruses, which makes this not sound like their previous albums either, but it's not bad anyway. Check it out if you are familiar with their previous work, or if you generally enjoy rock with pop influences.
